Volunteer
Juma's Farm counts on volunteers to meet its everyday needs. Volunteer duties include:
Cleaning up the barn (including shoveling poop and hosing down the pig's sleeping areas).
Feeding the animals.
Cleaning the grounds.
Laying hay and other bedding.
Scratching pig bellies and applying skin cream.
Volunteers assist on Sundays from 9 AM to 12 PM one day per month, or more if interested. If a different day or time works best for you we of course will try to accommodate you! Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
This type of volunteer work requires that you be able to perform physical work. For those not able or interested in these activities, Juma's Farm also needs volunteers to help with office work like community outreach that can be done from your home.
If you have any specialized skills such as in carpentry, plumbing, other construction trades, fundraising or other skills we could benefit from please let us know.
Anyone interested in volunteering should fill out the volunteer application and email it to contact@jumasfarm.org In your email please let us know of any previous volunteer experience you have had, if any.
